It should have been a simple job. But for Garrett, a human detective in a world of gnomes, tracking down the woman to whom his dead pal Denny left a fortune in silver was no slight task. Denny's family wanted to hang onto the treasure--especially sister Rose, with a body hot enough to stop Garrett in his tracks, but a heart colder than the metal he was packing.
