"Following a world-wide conflict, the appropriately-named Globus Corporation has pockets in many of the world's governments. Utilizing its own resources, it has set up an excavation operation on the island of Delta-5 Caprona. Its mission: dig up the many fragments of a large meteorite that struck the earth a hundred million years ago. Within those fragments is a mineral which could provide an unmatched power source. What they soon learn is that there was something else inside that meteorite. Something massive. Something deadly. While on the job at Dig Site Three, Lon Bergis hears an explosion from the direction of Site Four. With no radio response from the personnel in that location, he and the rest of his team investigate. There, they find mutilated bodies surrounding the mine and massive footprints leading into the jungle. Before long, one of the patrolling aircraft units inexplicably goes down. When Bergis and his men respond to the crash site in hopes of locating survivors, the horrible truth reveals itself. An enormous Spinosaurus, preserved and mutated by the element within the meteorite, has been awakened. Equaling its size is its ferocity, for it seeks to destroy every living thing sharing the island with it. As the day rages on, Bergis must rely on new alliances to combat the Spinosaurus, as well as any other threats that have been accidentally UNEARTHED."--
