It comes as little surprise when one day an assassin tries to kill them, but what they can't imagine is that this will plunge them into a nightmarish oddessey of mystery, blood, sex and adventure. To solve the riddle they must investigate their own immortal community, exposes the lies, the intrigues and betrayals all around them. Bullets will fly, and claws will come out. War is brewing among the immortals, war that will sweep the world and drown it in fire, and only Ruegger and Danielle can stop it, if they can solve the mystery in time, but it will be anything but easy, and they can only do it in . . . the living night.
